John Rule Sales & Marketing was established in 1994 to provide representation and
distribution for UK and overseas publishers specialising in art and illustrated books.
Our major publishers are Damiani Editore, Papadakis, Silvana Editoriale, Somogy Art Publishers,
Schimer Art Books and Timezone 8.

 

DISTRIBUTION

Distribution can be arranged through Marston Book Services who are based near Oxford and provide
worldwide distribution for publishers including Assouline Publishing, Black Dog, Merrell,
Princeton Architectural Press and Rizzoli International Publications.
The service will include storage, packing, despatch of books, invoicing and cash collection.
The agreement will be for exclusive distribution to the booktrade in the territories specified.

 

REPRESENTATION

Representation will be provided through a team of experienced specialist representatives.
Most of the UK, including London, Cambridge, Waterstones Head Office, and the main wholesalers,
Gardners & Bertrams, is covered from the London office. We currently have freelance agents in the
South-East, the Midlands and the North of England, and in Ireland. Outside the UK , freelance
agents cover the following territories: France & Belgium; Germany, Austria and Switzerland; the Netherlands;
Italy, Spain, Portugal & Greece; Scandinavia; Eastern Europe, the Middle East; the Far East; Latin America.

Distribution and Representation are charged by a fixed commission on turnover.
An additional management fee may be applicable.
